Vine Weevil, the dreaded pest will rear its ugly head again if you are
not vigilant. This year I repotted all my lilies and not a sign of them,
so prevention treatment Provado works.
Remember that sand or gravel covering pots also deter weevils from laying
their eggs in potted plants.

Watch out for the Lily Beetle, bright red and easy to spot, but not easy to catch and crush. It has a wicked trick of falling to the ground and disappearing. Pravado Bug Killer spray will take care of it.
With the water shortage, if you need to save precious water from water butts before a rainfall, we sell plastic cans at only £3. You can use red for special purposes and green for water only.
Remember companion planting to deter pests. Garlic or onions nearby are a good deterrent. Plant carrots near tomatoes and radishes near cucumbers.
Finally don't neglect feeding finished daffodils and tulips. A foliar high potash feed for the leaves builds up the bulbs for a repeat performance next year.
